South Brent is a charming Devon village within the Dartmoor National Park, which still has a variety of traditional shops (including a post office) around its centre. A renowned three-sided monument which commemorates both Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II’s Jubilees can be found in Wellington Square - opposite the parish church of St Petroc, which has a sanctuary ring on its door. One of the local inns, is reputed to have once been a staging post where ostlers boasted that they could change a team of horses in 4 seconds!

Conveniently situated off the A38 Devon Expressway, and with a good range of local amenities, it is easy to understand why South Brent appeals equally to both the young and older residents who have chosen to make their home here.

There is an extensive choice of recreational activities to be enjoyed in the area, including golf, tennis, horse riding and walking, as well as other coastal and country pursuits. For the commuter, the village provides handy access for journeys to Plymouth, Totnes, Exeter, the M5 motorway and regional airports.
